Drawings from March 3rd, 2000.

March 3rd, 2000, I have asked my students, 2-4 years old, if I could keep all of their drawings and they said ok. Thank you guys! These are my treasures.  I was expecting my first and last child birth with in a month. I talked about how much my baby boy was active and lived in my stomach, how baby got nutrition from mom etc.

This took pace at the art class in Japanese at the Children’s Museum of the Arts in Soho, New York, moved to West Village in 2014.  I have taught at the Museum from 1991-2015. Thank you, Kathleen Schneider, Fonder of the museum, for giving me great teaching opportunities who is quite new in USA.

2000年3月3日、当時ソーホーに有ったチルドレンズ・ミュージーアム・オブ・ジ・アーツで教えていた日本語アートクラスの子供達に私のお腹の中に赤ちゃんがいて、お医者さんに行ったら『大きなオチンチンの男の子』と言われた事、とっても元気でいつもお腹の中で暴れている事、お母さんが食べたご飯はおへそ同士を繋ぐコードから赤ちゃんに行く事等、たくさん話しその絵を描いてみました。今でも、この絵は私とお腹の中の息子を一緒に見ることの出来る素晴らしい宝物です。皆、ありがとう！

First Presentation at F2F.

I had my presentation at F2F2017, Face to Face Conference,  at The City College of New York this past Thursday. I enjoyed sharing my experience of 4 years of inclusion residencies with other teaching artists and administrators,  through a hands-on workshop.

Good to learn ourselves as an industry. 70% of Teaching Artists are female. We surprisingly found that male TAs make higher income than female TAs according to TA Compensation Survey.  Why?  This will be published.

I feel like surrounded by poems and poets in my life though I’ve definitely grown as a bad writer since my young age. Some teachers did not understand me.
