The school year ended. I had nearly $2000 of receipts to be reimbursed by the organization I work for.  I was hoping to save time and energy to go to the post office and stand a long line addition to the postage fee.  

I e-mailed Siobhan who works at the office of the organization and resides my neighborhood. Will you be able to bring my envelope of receipts to the office if I drop it off to your place?  She responded immediately as “I always go for a morning run on Saturdays so I could swing by.”  Thanks a lot, Siobhan!

 今年の3学期がは大波乱だった。5月の急な1週間の入院中は、蓄積してた疲労回復には役に立ったけど、退院後3週間経つ迄、癌である事は否定されてた訳で。「畜生ヤブ肺専門医！お前なんか医者じゃねー 」 3学期の仕事をどうにか完了し、立て替えた材料費のレシートは$2000近く。やっと腰上げまとめて請求書をe-mail. 後は大きな封筒一杯の現物レシートをブルックリンのオフィス迄どう送るか。暑い中、郵便局まで歩いて、長いラインに並ばされて、郵送料金払うのも避けたく。

近所に住むショバンに「ホリデー直前だけど、週末明けオフィス行く？貴方のアパート迄レシート持って行ったら、オフィス迄持って行ってくれる？」と聞くと「土曜朝は、近所走ってるから、ヒロミの家迄取りに行くよ〜」と言う快い返事。ピンクのタンクにミラーエフェクトのサングラスで格好良く来てくれた。「ジムのメンバーシップ買うより走った方が安いからね〜:)」だって。有難う！

I have been teaching almost everyday. glad to have this 10days off as spring brake. 

Fiscal year is ending

I’ve always enjoyed teaching in NYC public schools as a teaching artist. Marquis Studios, thank you for another year.  Took extra teaching jobs this year to upgrade my old computer system.

First scan after 6 weeks of Tagrisso.

Meeting with oncologist with result of CTscan after 6 weeks of taking tagrisso, some are resolved and most of them decreased!Will get scanne’s every 2-3 month to see. Now I need to think if I could return to teach from September at the NYC Public schools. I may want to try a few days a week.

Who left the bread here?

タグリッソ飲んで6週間、初ct scanの結果、癌細胞、劇的に縮小。次のスキャン2ヶ月後。その後小康状態になったら3ヶ月毎に。効きが悪くなったら(増え出したら)、別の薬に変えたり、化学療法にしたり、コイツの息の根完璧に止められる方法が見つかるまで、なだめながら共存していくって感じ。こっちの息の根止められる前にね！9月から、学校で教える仕事に戻るか。週2位でやってみようかとも思うが、余り自信が無い。体がついて来るか。

Found a treasure

Just found my son Yui’s Art work from nowhere while he was cleaning his room before he leaves to Wisconsin for his sophomore year. This is hand sewn Igana by Yui, I think igana was his third sewn project, when he was 4-5 years old. He sewed fish, eel, and igana. This is definitely our treasure.

When my grandma showed me how to sew a dress for a doll, she showd me sewing inside out and flip outside back in so that edges of fabric would be invisible. I definitely felt she was genius!!!!!!!! I wanted my son to experience that same feeling then.

3ヶ月の長い夏休みが終わり、遠い大学に戻る息子が部屋の掃除をしていて、4-5歳の頃に凝っていた手縫いアートのイグアナ発見。魚、うなぎ、と作って、イグアナは脚が増えて難しくて、私が少し手伝った気が。家にあった端切れで。

私が同じ年の頃、(気難しくて余り好きで無かった)祖母にリカちゃん人形の服の縫い方をお教わった時に、「裏返しに縫った後ひっくり返すと縫い目が内側に入る」と言うテクニックを見せて貰って「天才!!!!!」っと感動したのを今でも覚えてます。それを、息子にも経験させたくて。魚とうなぎも、どこかに入っているのか。。。？！これは宝物。大切に飾っておきましょう。
